Attach the hood by aligning the
z
mark on the rear of the hood with
the
z
mark on the adapter and
rotating the hood until the hood’s
z
mark aligns with the adapter’s
mark.
z To remove the lens hood and adapter,
hold down the ring release button and
turn the adapter in the opposite direction
shown.
z If you use the built-in flash when the lens hood is attached, a
portion of the flash will be blocked by the lens hood and appears
dark.
z If you use the viewfinder when the lens hood is attached, a
portion of the view will be blocked by the lens hood.
z When you are not using the lens hood, it can be stowed as
shown in the illustration below.
