10. Loading the Film

The AF310XL-S accepts both sound and

silent film cartridges (Type A or G), while the

AF310XL accepts only silent cartridges

(Type A or G).

To load the film, press the film compartment

release Knob ® all the way down until It

locks into place. Then pull the side cover

open. (You may have to press the release

knob down a bit more to fully release the side

cover.) Hold the film upright with its label

facing you, and insert the right side of the

cartridge first. Press in the other side so that

the cartridge fits securely into the compart

ment. Close the side cover until it snaps shut.

By looking though the film compartment

window ® you can tell whether or not film is

loaded, and if so, what kind it is.
